It is certainly the most spectacular saltworks in the world. Near Machu Pichu, water from a highly saline spring is directed towards some 1,500 pools, scattered on terraces, on the vertiginous slopes of the Andes mountain range. The Incas exploited these waters in the same way as today.
Usage tips
This salt is very pure, iodized and its salinity is average. It will be used with white meats, fish, vegetable dishes, pasta and rice.
