This fossil salt has been sheltered for a few million years under a layer of volcanic rock, protected from any environmental pollution, in the Andes plateaus.
It is still harvested by hand by miners, as the Incas did.
This salt reminiscent of rose quartz owes its color to a high iron content.
It contains many minerals such as calcium, potassium and magnesium.
Usage tips
Its taste is pure with a marked but not aggressive salinity.
You will season your grilled meats, your roast meats, fatty fish and stews. It will be perfect with raw vegetables as an aperitif, butter radish or cherry tomatoes.
