Hibiscus, from the Malvaceae family.

Also known as bissap or cardadé (in reference to the African drinks of the same name made from baobab pulp), roseille or sorrel from Guinea.
It is rich in calcium, iron and vitamin C.
Usage tips
It is appreciated for its fruity and tangy aroma. It is mainly used in infusion for hot drinks, tea, herbal tea, bissap and in baking in the preparation of cake, mousse and sour syrup. But it also has its place on the savory side with fish and scallops.
